Curriculum and Programs Unit
Vision
Excel in academic program preparation according to national and international frameworks.
Mission
Supervise the designing and application of advanced and excellent academic plans and activities that help graduate specialists in the medical professions within national standards.
Objectives
1.Verify the continuous updating of plans according to advancements made at the national level.
2.Verify the procedures of adoption of such plans by academic departments internally and externally.
3.Communicate with beneficiaries (work place) and define job market needs of college specialties.

Composition of the Unit
1.Developing college academic programs.
2.Supervise curricula and course selection in collaboration with academic departments as well as curricula conformity to national standards and the requirements of national and international accreditation.
3.Suggest new programs in coordination with academic departments and report to university plans committee to cater for local job market needs.
4.Follow up programs annual reports according to NCAAA forms.
5.Execute projects related to the educational process according to the executive plans of the college of applied medical sciences.
6.Follow up the implementation of the strategic plan of the vice-rectorship for academic affairs as well as the plans and curricula of the college of applied medical sciences
Perform all tasks assigned to it over academic terms
1.The improvement plan for the radiology department was completed and a proposal for establishing a radiology department will be sumbited to academic accreditation.
2.Participating with the computer science agency to establish health informatics unit, which will be part of the medical equipment department plan.
3.Improving the plan of the medical laboratories department under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed AL Idarous and create tracks (sub-specialties) for the department and matching courses to these tracks as well as adding, dropping or fusing courses with reference to peer Saudi universities which won national and international academic accreditation in the field.
4.Starting preparations to launch artificial limbs program which will be part of the physical therapy department plan.
