Preparatory Year’s Students visit College of Engineering

Preparatory year students who are interested to join the Engineering College paid a visit on Monday to the college where they were informed in details by Dr. Tariq Nabeel about the extracurricular activities and their benefits for strengthen the bond among students, an act that will have a positive impact on their personality in future.
Dr. Saleh Al-Dahash, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, who welcomed students encouraged them to visit the college on regular basis and to work hard during their study at preparatory year to be able to join the college. As it will be the medium of instruction at the college, Dr. Al-Dahash also advised students to improve their skills in English language, an endeavor that will make their efforts to study the courses’ materials easier. Students were also reminded not rush in choosing their major and to make sure that their selection of the major is based on logical thinking coupled with one’s interest.
Students then were briefed about the academic majors and their potential jobs in market by the representatives of academic majors: Dr. Abdullah Al-Shehri, Dr. Ahmed Jalal and Dr. Tariq Nabeel.
They have also explained to students some of the steps that should be followed upon finishing the courses of preparatory year which will help their choosing their major.
The students were finally taken in a tour to the college’s departments and labs as an act to encourage them to work hard.
