The College of Computer and Information Sciences wins second place in the cyber security competition (Cyber Arabia)

The student team of the Information Security Club at the College of Computer and Information Sciences won the second place ( general level, male and female students) and the first place on the male student level in the Cyber security competition (cyber arabia). The competition is organized by the Center for Excellence in Information Security at King Saud University and in partnership with the pioneering IT security Northrop International. The aim of the competition is to test the defense capabilities of students involved in electronic security
On the first day, 27 teams from a number of Saudi universities competed with 11 teams of male students and 16 teams of female students to find security holes and correct them in a virtual environment specially fitted and designed for the contest. The points and ranks are calculated according to the difficulty of the gap and the speed of discovery and reaction.
On this occasion, the Dean of the College congratulated the participating students: Thamer Al-Shammari, Mohammed Al-Suhaimi and Mohammed Al-Muqrin who honored the College and the University by obtaining first place at the level of male students and second place at the level of male and female students. the dean also thanked the team of the club and its general supervisor Mr. Fahd Al-Duraibi for his contribution to raising the awareness of students and improving their skills to participate in national competitions related to information security, which is a characteristic of the college educational programs.
The dean congratulated also the rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al Migrin who has always offered unlimited support for the various activities of the College, the Vice rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al Rumaih, and the college vice deans.
