THE ROLE OF SAUDI UNIVERSITIES AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE PROTECTION OF YOUTH AGAINST EXTREMISM

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa inaugurated the conference titled “The Role of Saudi Universities and their Impact on the Protection of Youth against Extremism”.
The 2-days conference was organized by Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in the auditorium on campus.
The opening ceremony was attended by the university's Rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin and a number of Saudi university rectors as well as students from Al-Majma'a University.

The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, and a speech by the Rector of Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University, Dr. Suleiman Aba Al-Khail, in which he thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, for the unlimited support received by the University in particular and the Saudi universities in general.

Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, chaired the fourth session of the conference.

On the other hand, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Ofaisan, thanked the University Rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih for their keenness that students should attend such conferences for their own religious and mental protection against dogmas and extremism.
