VISION REALIZATION OFFICE AT MU REVIEWS THE UNIVERSITY INDICATORS REPORT

Within the framework of following the measurement of performance indicators approved by the National Transformation Program, a meeting was held by the Vision Realization Office (VRO) to discuss a number of issues related to the university indicators report.
Chaired by MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, in the presence of Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya’a, Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice-Rector and Supervisor of VR Office and Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, a presentation was given by the Director of Initiatives Department, Dr. Faisal Al-Mutairi, on the first stage indicators approved for universities based on the Vision 2030.
This stage includes seven indicators and they are : efficiency of spending, employee turnover, number published papers, number of papers with revenue, percentage of Saudi faculty members, number of patents and hours of volunteering.
Dr. Al-Mutairi stated that all those indicators were measured at the university level using the mechanism determined by the National Center for Performance Measurement (Adaa) and the results were approved.
The aim of this meeting is to keep the university leaders abreast of the latest progress made with regard to the university indicators and to demonstrate the readiness to move on to the next phase of measuring the indicators and comparing them regionally and internationally.
MU Rector stressed the importance of having the indicators measurement checked with the person in charge of indicators at concerned departments.
The university vice-rectors said the Vice-Rector’s Offices are ready to provide all data required for indicators to improve the quality of results.
