DEANSHIP OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION LAUNCHES “HAND IN HAND” INITIATIVE

The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education has launched an initiative titled “Hand in Hand” in cooperation with the Obuor Center for children with Special Needs in Majmaah. The initiative, which started on Wednesday 12/2/1439 at 9:00 am until the end of the current year, aims to establish an integral training and educational program targeting the family, mothers of those disabled children along with the caregivers at the Center. An exhibition of drawings made by the handicapped children accompanied the initiative, which opened its doors to the local community to support and integrate them in society by raising social awareness and training caregivers on dealing with them.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition of production and drawings by handicapped children was carried out to show their capabilities and contributions to society.

The director of the Human Development Center (Obuor), Ms. Noura Al-Thamiri expressed her appreciation for the effort and support of the University Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, the Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Omar Al-Sharyoufi, the Vice-dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Maha Al-Kaltham, all the staff of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education and the Volunteer Support Team.
