The primary aim of the bachelor of science in computer engineering at the College of Computer Science and Information is to develop students’ skills in analyzing the relationship between computer software and devices used in the fields of business, industry and manufacture.
The program also enrich students’ knowledge in selective areas of computer engineering such as Computer systems, signals and systems, data transmission, computer engineering, digital signal processing, digital control, computer networks, modeling and simulation, fiber optic networks, network programming and wired and wireless networks, computer network security and embedded systems and hardware description languages.
Furthermore, students learn how to design systems and components, identify engineering problems, communicate effectively within a team, solve computer engineering problems and understand the impact of computer engineering on the world. There are two tracks of the program: computer network and embedded systems.
