Activities

By instructions of the Rector Dr. Khaled bin Saad Al-Muqrin, Majmaah University preceded equipment of the Mobile Medical Services, which comes as an integral part of the medical services system at Majmaah University. His Excellency gave approval for the proposal submitted by H.E. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Atram, General Supervisor of Medical Services, regarding the medical services program. The university started implementation of the program as follows:

Activities undertaken by the medical services during this year:

1 / Blood Donation Campaign: The Medical Clinic started the blood donation campaign in cooperation with King Khaled Hospital on 14/1/1432H. More than forty donors of the university affiliates participated in the campaign. During the campaign, some awareness speeches were given to donors about the great benefits of blood donation blood and some of the precautions to be observed by each donor.

2 / “Give Me Relief” campaign: The mobile clinics started on Monday 04/03/1432 Thursday, 07/03/1432H roaming to two locations, Artawiyah Road & Shaqraa Al Dahnaa Road accompanied by the full medical & technical team and a group of support services technical workers. A medical cadre from Majmaah Hospital also participated in the campaign in accordance to an agreement with the Ministry of Health. The Vice Rector, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Huqail, Adviser and Supervisor of Rector Office, Dean of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences visited the campaigners. The turnout at the clinics by the citizens, hikers and also travelers was good at both locations. They all have expressed their satisfaction and happiness for the presence of the mobile clinic asking them to pay more frequent visits to the area. The number of visitors reached to (80) and the number of patients reached to (22). and the cases that were detected by the work of its examinations and clinical laboratory for a variety of chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure and mild cases like common cold and arthritis pain where it was taken care of and given the necessary medication.

3 / Janadriyah campaign: The Mobile Medical Clinics Participated in Janadriyah twenty-sixth Festival for Heritage and Culture during the period of 9 to 25/5/1432H; by providing medical diagnostic and curative primary health care services. H.E. General Supervisor of Medical Services Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al- Atram pointed out those mobile services included a number of clinics and distinguished medical crew seeking to provide excellent quality service. The number of visitors to mobile clinics was approximately (2100) visitors; (407) were checked up. Number of visitors referred to the dental clinic was (109) and emergency (2). Most of the emergency cases were as a result of fights and wounds. No cases were transferred to the hospital. The clinics were keen, through its crew, for the dissemination of health awareness and prevention of diseases. The medical services provided visitors with gifts aiming to achieve a culture of health and highlight its desired role.

4 / Higher Education Fair campaign in Riyadh:

The Mobile Medical Clinics Participated during the period from 15 to 18/05/1432H. The most important visitors to the clinics were H.E. Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khaled Bin Mohammed Al-Anqari in the presence of the Rector, Dr. Khaled Bin Saad Al-Muqrin and Deputy of Higher Education Minister Dr. Ali bin Sulaiman Al-Attiyah, HE the Vice President Dr. Ibrahim Bin Abdulrahman Al-Huqail. The number of visitors to the mobile clinics was around (800) visitors, (141) visitors were medically tested. Most medical tests were inflammatory throat & chest and headache; only (1) emergency case was there because of low blood pressure. For the dental clinic, 51 cases were tested. No single case was referred to hospital. The clinics were keen, through its crew, for the dissemination of health awareness and prevention of diseases. The medical services provided visitors with gifts aiming to achieve a culture of health and highlight its desired role.

5 / Gulf Week themed (dental health and beauty) at Hawtat Sudair: The Mobile Medical Clinics participated in the Gulf Dental Campaign Week during the period from 28/4/1432H until 2/5/1432H. The main visitors to the mobile medical clinic were H.E. Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Huqail, Adviser and Supervisor of Rector Office, Dean of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Nasser Bin Ali Al-Jarallah, Director General of Health Affairs in Riyadh Dr. Adnan bin Mohammed Al- Abdulkarim. They were welcomed by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Atram Ggeneral Supervisor of Medical Services. The number of visitors was (60) and the number of patients (35) patients.

6 / security is everyone's responsibility campaign themed (Our Children.... Building Forearms): Mobile clinics participated in (security is everyone's responsibility) program themed “Our Children.... Building Forearms” in the municipal rest house at Majmaah Province during the period 19-23/5/1432H. HRH Majmaah Governor Prince Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Bin Faisal visited mobile medical services at Majmaah University accompanied by Rector of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University Dr. Sulaiman Abalkhail and a number of officials, where His Highness toured and listened to an explanation from General Supervisor of Medical Services Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al-Atram who explained that the mobile medical services is receiving visitors and emergency cases of visitors and provide them with the necessary medical tests, medication and education.

7 / Zulfi Male & Female Students Campaign: The Mobile Medical Clinics Visited, Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Science of Majmaah University located at Zulfi. The visit took place during the period 4-22/6/1432H. H.E., Faculty of Dentistry Dean, Dr.Mansour Al-Mansour visited the mobile clinics and was received by General Supervisor of Medical Services, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Atram. The number of visitors to the medical clinics reached to (292) and the number of patients was (73). The clinics has been keen by the medical crew to spread health awareness and prevention of diseases. Gifts were provided to visitors.

8 / Students Campaign at Ghat Province: The Mobile Medical Clinics Visited College of Administrative Sciences and Humanities of Majmaah University located at Ghat Province according to the approved program during the period 2-6/7/1432H. On the third day, Majmaah University Rector Dr. Khaled bin Saad al-Muqrin, accompanied by His Excellency the Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hugail, deans of colleges and faculty members visited the Faculty of Science and Humanities. Then, H.E.the Rector and his guests visited H.E. Mr. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Sudairy, Governor of Ghat the Mobile Medical Clinics. They were received by General Supervisor of Medical Services, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Atram; detailed explanation about services and its importance to be found at students’ gathering places. His Excellency, the Governor thanked the University Rectorfor the services provided by the university to its affiliates, and society in all related provinces. The number of visitors during that period was (24) visitors and the number of patients (11). The Clinics has been keen through its medical crew to spread health awareness.

9 / National Day Celebration (81): By instruction from H.E. the Rector, Dr. Khaled bin Saad Al-Muqrin, the Medical Services at Majmaah University gave orders to the mobile clinics to move on the highway at exit (15) to provide health services treatment and education in accordance to the operational plan for medical services and directives of the General Supervisor of medical services, where the number of visitors was more than 400 visitors and the number of patients was 50. The most prominent visitors to the mobile medical clinics was His Excellency the Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hugail accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Zulfi Dr. Mansour Al-Mansour and were met by General Supervisor of medical Services Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Atram who offered them a detailed explanation about the work of the mobile clinic and its services to the community.

10 / In continuation for community service, Majmaah University is providing medical services and health awareness in Jalajel: By Instructions from H.E. Rector and Vice Rector of Majmaah University, and as a continuation to achieve the goal that the university committed itself with since the first day to serve the community, and as an embodiment for the meaning of community partnership and cooperation to spread science, culture, health awareness and provide medical care, the Mobile Medical Services visited Jalajel City on Friday, 9 / 11/1432H.. Their location was near the Great Mosque. Medical services were provided such as medical check, measuring sugar level, blood pressure, treatment of acute & chronic diseases and dental treatment. Services also included providing outreach and health education as stated by Majmaah University Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Hugail. He stressed on the importance & necessity to participate in such awareness medical health campaigns, provide health service & care to all society members. H.E. General Supervisor of Medical Services Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al-Atram stated that this campaign aims to provide medical service to the community in all its classes, performing medical check up, dental treatment, outreach and health education. He stressed on the importance of these medical campaigns indicating that the mobile medical services consists of: a number of medical clinics, dental clinics, a pharmacy containing basic medication; it also include a distinguished medical team that seeks to provide unique service. Number of the mobile clinics visitors reached to about hundred visitors whereas (30) of theme were dental cases given dental treatment and endodontic. There were (5) cases for teeth extraction. Visitors of the Internal Medicine visitors were about (60) – No emergency cases. Sugar measurement was done for about (10) visitors. No cases were referred to hospital as there was no need for such action. The clinics are keen, through their team, to spread health awareness and giving advice about prevention of diseases. The Medical Services provided gifts to visitors aiming to embody role and the university role in this regard. Some of the visitors expressed their thanks to the University Rector, Vice Rector and officials in charge of medical services for such services; they showed their wish to repeat the visit to this town and those good people.

Rector and Vice Rector of Majmaah University, and as a continuation to achieve the goal that the university committed itself with since the first day to serve the community, and as an embodiment for the meaning of community partnership and cooperation to spread science, culture, health awareness and provide medical care, the Mobile Medical Services visited Rawdat Sudair on Thursday, 15 / 11/1432H.. Their location was near the Great Mosque. Medical services were provided such as medical check, measuring sugar level, blood pressure, treatment of acute & chronic diseases and dental treatment. Services also included providing outreach and health education as stated by Majmaah University Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Huqail. He stressed on the importance & necessity to participate in such awareness medical health campaigns, provide health service & care to all society members. H.E. No cases were referred to hospital as there was no need for such action. One appointment was taken for one patient to visit the Dermatology Clinic. The clinics are keen, through their team, to spread health awareness and giving advice about prevention of diseases. The Medical Services provided gifts to visitors aiming to embody role and the university role in this regard. Some of the visitors expressed their thanks to the University Rector, Vice Rector and officials in charge of medical services for such services; they showed their wish to repeat the visit to this town and those good people.

Their location was at Social Development Yard. Medical services were provided such as medical check, measuring sugar level, blood pressure, treatment of acute & chronic diseases and dental treatment. Services also included providing outreach and health education as stated by Majmaah University Vice Rector Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Huqail. He stressed on the importance & necessity to participate in such awareness medical health campaigns, provide health service & care to all society members. H.E. General Supervisor of Medical Services Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al-Atram stated that this campaign aims to provide medical service to the community in all its classes, performing medical check up, dental treatment, outreach and health education. He stressed on the importance of these medical campaigns indicating that the mobile medical services consists of: a number of medical clinics, dental clinics, a pharmacy containing basic medication; it also include a distinguished medical team that seeks to provide unique service. Visitors of the Internal Medicine visitors were about (37) – No emergency cases. Sugar measurement was done for about (30) visitors. One visitor has a wound in the head was treated by 4 stitches. No cases were referred to hospital as there was no need for such action. One appointment was taken for one patient to visit the Dermatology Clinic. The clinics are keen, through their team, to spread health awareness and giving advice about prevention of diseases. The Medical Services provided gifts to visitors aiming to embody role and the university role in this regard. Some of the visitors expressed their thanks to the University Rector, Vice Rector and officials in charge of medical services for such services; they showed their wish to repeat the visit to this town and those good people.
