MU COUNCIL HOLDS ITS FIRST MEETING FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 1447

On behalf of the minister of education, Mr. Yousef al-Benyan - Chairman of MU'S Council -, Prof. Saleh al-Mezal, MU's rector, chaired the first meeting of the university council for the academic year 1447 in the presence of the general secretary of universities affairs council, Dr. Bassam al-Bassam, vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. 

MU Rector, Prof. Al-Mezal, opened the council session by commending the annual national blood donation campaign launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Prof. Al-Mezal also congratulated faculty, staff, and students on the start of the 1447 AH academic year, hoping it is marked by learning, creativity, and achievement. Colleges should be ready for the new semester by creating a supportive campus environment and providing academic and advisory support to students, added Prof. Al-Mezal.

The General Secretary of the Council, Prof. Mohammed al-Shehri, pointed out that several topics in the agenda were addressed, including the request to approve the University’s fifteenth annual report for the 1445/1446 AH (2024) academic year and the recent activities and recommendations of the Standing Committee for Scholarships and Training. The council also discussed the proposed plan of the Deanship of Student Affairs for the 1447 AH academic year and was updated on the academic accreditation plan for the current semester.. A number of topics related to the administrative affairs of faculty members were also addressed. 

At the end of the meeting, the rector extended his thanks to the council members for their active role in improving the quality of the university outcomes.
