A DELEGATION OF NORTHERN BORDER UNIVERSITY VISITS MU

A delegation of Northern Border University visited MU to learn from its experience in investment and endowment. The delegation included Prof. Saad al-Medyani, the vice-rector and supervisor of establishing committee of investment & endowment, Dr. Abdullah al-Anizi and Dr. Aqil al-Salem, members of the establishing committee and Mr. Mohammed al-Thaqafi, director of Administrative & Financial Affairs. The delegation was welcomed at MU by the vice-rector for Graduate Studies & Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed al-Rumaih, the vice-rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed al-Obudi and the CEO of MU’s Investment Fund Company, Dr. Hamad al-Omran.
In a meeting with the delegation which featured several topics of mutual interests in investment and endowment, Dr. al-Rumaih hoped that this meeting would be a point of departure for exchanging experience between the two sides.
The delegation was accompanied on a tour to the Prosthetic Limbs Center to have a look at its sections and the different services provided to patients. The center was founded on the basis of serving science and technology majors at colleges and as an avenue for conducting research, an act through which the university strives to excel in rehabilitation and prosthetic limbs.
The delegation also visited the university’s printing press then the Dusit Princess Hotel of the university, where they listened to a detailed explanation of the project’s goals and facilities as well as the phases of the project since planning to signing with the contractor.
The delegation’s final destination was the University Pioneer Schools and an illustration was provided about the goals and future plans of the schools.
The delegation members expressed their gratitude with the university’s achievements in the field of endowment and investment, hoping this visit would be a beginning for mutual cooperation
