Based on the recommendations made by the 23rd meeting of GCC Universities Council, the Deanship of Information Technology at MU developed an educational platform that facilitates the communication process between Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and GCC universities.

On the occasion of being appointed as a rector of MU, Dr. Saleh Al-Mizil extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the trust placed on him.
The Deanship of Information Technology at MU launched a new feature on My Service where employees can have access to a digital copy of their business card. The car has a QR Code and be downloaded on smartphone in case there was no internet connection.
In the presence of vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships, MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren launched a new university council electronic system.
The vice-dean for student affairs, Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar, welcomed the head of female department at IT Deanship, Ms. Ashjan Al-Huzaimi, to review the Deanship’s achievement.
In recognition of its efforts during the coronavirus pandemic, the Deanship of IT won MU Rector’s Award for Quality and Excellence- 1440/1441 (category of deanships).
MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren welcomed in his office the dean of IT, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wenien, along with both vice-deans, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zamil and Dr. Abdullah Al-Saleh. The aim of the visit is to submit the deanship’s achievement report for the year 1440-1441.
Chaired by MU rector, Dr. Al-Muqren, and the participation of the dean of IT Deanship, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wenain, the E-Transactions Committee has conducted its fourth meeting.
In the presence of vice-rectors, deans of colleges and deanships and directors of administrations, MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, launched the 5th version of the university portal in the auditorium at main campus.
The Deanship of Information Technology set up a 24-customer service room, led by the dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wenien and both the vice-dean for technical affairs and the vice-dean for services and systems.
In attempt to improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, and at the request of the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wenien, the Help Desk Department implemented new procedures to track the requests of services provided by IT Deanship.
Prof. Musallma Al-Dosari, the Vice-Rector, welcomed in his office the Dean of IT Deanship, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanin, the Vice-Dean for Technical Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zamil and the Vice-Dean for E-Systems and Services, Dr. Abdullah Al-Saleh along with some heads of departments.
