DEANSHIP OF STUDENTS’ AFFAIRS HOLDS A CEREMONY OF MU RECTOR’S CONTEST FOR QURAN AND SUNNAH MEMORIZATION

MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, patronized the ceremony of Quran and Sunnah memorization contest at the auditorium of main campus in the presence of vice-rectors and deans of colleges. The ceremony also marks the end of students’ activities. The ceremony began by two recitations of the holy Quran for the two students Othman Al-Dreiweesh and Alameen Issa, who are also among the winners in the contest. Addressing the audience, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, Dean of Students’ Affairs, said that the deanship welcomes new students at the beginning of every year by guiding them as well as responding to all their inquiries. Several activities and services are provided to students during the academic year, some of which are funded by Student Assistance Fund. The Deanship has also strived to set up a partnership with a number of outsourcing companies to provide a variety of activities for students. One of the special contests that students are very concerned to take part in is the annual contest of Quran and Sunnah memorization held under the patronage of MU rector, added Dr. Al-Ofaisan A play was performed by a number of students that gained the admiration of audience, followed by an operetta. MU rector Dr. Al-Mugren, delivered a speech in which he expressed his admiration with the remarkable efforts to organize such a contest. Thanks and appreciations are all due to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and His Deputy Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unfailing support, not only to our university, but all other Saudi universities which enabled them to be ivory towers. The ceremony was concluded by awarding external and internal sectors bodies that have contributed in a way or another to the success of the Deanship’s activities. Winners of the contest in all branches were also awarded by MU rector.
