FIRST MEETING OF SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE OF APPLYING FOR KING ABDULAZIZ QUALITY AWARD

Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, director of supervisory committee of applying for King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA), chaired the first meeting of the supervisory committee assigned for applying for (KAQA). The 4th edition of the award is allowing for the first time public sectors to join the award.
The director Dr. Al-Rumaih commenced the meeting by stressing the interest of MU rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren to participate in this award as being one of the most famous awards at the national level, and to engage in any activity that would result in enhancing the overall procedures related to quality.
The university has the necessary potential to take part in the award as it has earned the institutional academic accreditation. The efforts exerted by the Deanship of Quality led by its Dean Dr. Mohammed Al-Aboudi, to earn the accreditation should also be highlighted and commended, added Dr. Al-Rumaih.
Mr. Tawfiq Al-Mudaihem, director of the project, said the primary aim for the university to take part in the award is achieve yet further success in academia, research, and services at the university. As the university has recently earned the accreditation, the participation in this award is more like assuring the quality of service provided by the university in comparison with other local and international universities.
The executive plan of writing the university profile was explained along with discussing the criteria of the award.
