5TH EDITION OF MU SCINETIFIC RESEARCH PRIZE LAUNCHED

In a ceremony held at Majmaah University in the presence of vice-rectors, deans and a number of staff, MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, launched the fifth edition of the scientific research prize at the university level.
Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, Dean of Scientific Research and Deputy of the Prize Executive Committee, said that this fifth edition of the prize which takes place annually receives a massive support from MU Rector. It aims to create an environment conducive for scientific research and innovation in line with the strategic plans of the university. The prize has eight categories and they are: outstanding academic achievement, quality of scientific research, publishing in prestigious journals, invention and innovation, receiving external fund for research, best authored book, best translated book and outstanding research performance for students and scholarship-students.
After launching the prize, MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren commended the outcomes of the prize and said that it will be available for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Scientific research is on top of the university’s priorities with considerable achievements despite it is a new university. For this prize to pay dividend, Dr. Al-Mugren encouraged all colleges to collaborate with Office of the Dean for Scientific Research.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Shay’a, Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, said the Office of the Dean for Scientific Research strives to build competitiveness to meet the needs of labor market and knowledge society.
