ALZHEIMER’S MEDICATION INVENTED BY A GROUP OF MU RESEARCH TEAM PROTECTED BY PATENT

A group of researchers from Majmaah University has invented a medication for Alzheimer. The invention was patented by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). It took the team more than two years to complete this work in collaboration with several entities. The research team is made of : Dr. Raed Al-Baradi, Dr. Bader Al-Shehri, Dr. Aiman Al-Jawhari, Dr. Mesha’al Al-Funaisan, Lieutant Dr. Yasser Baba’eer, Director of Hafer Al-Batin Military Hospital, Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Salman, Dr. Ali Al-Shanqeeti, King Fahad Medical City and Prof. Mark Antonio, Manchester University. The research has undergone three stages before the final results are reached.
MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, welcomed in his office the research team in the presence of Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya’a and commended this achievement which is a pride for the university.
