THE RECTOR REVIEWS THE REPORTS OF COLLEGES AND DEANSHIPS PREPARATIONS FOR THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR DURING THE CONSULTATIVE MEETING FOR THIS YEAR

 

Chaired by the Rector Dr. Khalid bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren, the first consultative meeting was held at the conference hall in the Rector's office with the presence of Their Excellencies Vice-Rectors and Deans of Colleges and Academic and Administrative Leaderships. His Highness launched the meeting by congratulating all on the beginning of the new academic year and welcomed the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Shaya as well as the new members who recently joined the Council. His Highness also stressed that everyone is at the level of trustworthy and the principle of change is natural at work. He also encouraged them to make sincere efforts parallel to the ambitions of the University as well as making use of the facilities provided to the University, wishing them success in their new work. After that, a review was made for the achievements of the Council over the past year. Then, His Highness and the audience listened to a number of reports made by all deans of colleges regarding the preparations of the new academic year and what has been provided including equipment, laboratories and classrooms with an explanation to the mechanism of receiving new students and the distribution of lesson plans as well as administrative and academic producers. A report was also made by the Deans of Support Deanships regarding the plans and programs to be implemented during this New Year with an explanation of the main obstacles and problems faced by colleges and deanships to be avoided. His Highness also stressed the beginning of the new academic year should be strong and delay won't be accepted under any circumstance and he called upon the necessity of disciplinary and commitment in all colleges and deanships and administrations with a reminder to every faculty member at the University (Male or Female) that their message must be performed from the first day of school and attention should be paid to students educational performance. His Highness emphasized that quality standards should be applied accurately and provide students with their needs. Safety and security in all units of the university and its buildings is of paramount significant. He also mentioned that the work at the university should not be stopped, and the level of achievement should not be declined. His Highness finally extended his thanks to some deanships and colleges for their excellent preparations and issued a number of instructions concerning the workflow during the new academic year.
