COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES IN GHAT HOLDS A FRESHMEN RECEPTION CEREMONY

 

The College of Science and Humanities in Ghat represented by the committee of media organized a welcoming ceremony for new students under the patronage of the Dean, Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Shafi and the presence of the Vice Dean Dr. Omar Bin Mohammed Al-Omer. The ceremony was initiated with a recitation from the Holy Quran by the student Ahmed Al-Rizq. Addressing the audience, His Excellency the deputy dean launched the ceremony with a welcoming speech for new students where he noted them about their studies through regular attendance of all lectures. He also urged them to contribute to nation-building, via the knowledge and skills they gained during their university studies.  Dr. Ahmed Faiz Al-Zoabi, a member of the Reception Committee, also talked about the importance of academic system established by the university, which begins with the student once he/she acquires his admission until his/her graduation.  He briefed audience with the most important rules and regulations in a form of Q & A which which might be required by students at this stage. Mr. Abdul Aziz Babeker, Head of general preparation department, who welcomed students and commented on the importance of the University regulations and the commitment to them. He also spoke about the importance of the relationship between the student and a faculty member, through the definition of departments of the college and their relevance to the labor market. In the same context, Mr. Adel Al-Eraifj, Director of Student Affairs at the college about the importance of acquiring the university card since the first week of the study He has also noted the importance of participation in educational activities organized by the university. The college has organized this ceremony on the occasion of awarding students through a tea ceremony which was attended by all the new students and faculty members who thanked and appreciated the role of the college in organizing such events for them as well as communicating with them via messages (sms). Some Introductory publications related to rules regulations were distributed to students. It should be noted that the Department of female college conducted a reception ceremony for freshmen. Dr. Mona Jaber, a supervisor of students department welcomed female students and motivated them to continue develop their education and intellectual growth to serve the community. After that, the Reception Committee continued the meeting points with questions and discussion. The ceremony was concluded with tea session and introductory publications were distributed among students.
