SOCIAL RESPONSBILITY OBSERVATORY AT MU PATRONIZES THE ART EXHIBITION ‘VISUAL DIALOGUES’

Majmaah University (MU) represented by Social Responsibly Observatory (SRO) sponsored an art exhibition organized by a group of voluntary youth men under the theme "Visual Dialogues"  at the headquarters of Saudi Art Association in Riyadh. The exhibition, which reflects the contribution of the MU to the society, was under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Nora bint Mohammed Al Saud (wife of the Prince of Riyadh) and chairperson of the Women's Committee for Community Development in Riyadh .
 
A ceremony was held on this occasion to mark the opening of the exhibition attended by a number of academicians, specialists and amateur of young men who are interested in plastic art. A number of speeches were delivered in the ceremony by the organizers, sponsor, Princess Nora bint Mohammed Al Saud, and heads of Art Education Departments. Certificates and shields of appreciation were distributed to participants in the ceremony.
 
57 works of art presented in the exhibition in oil painting, usual drawing , photography and digital printing, all of which aimed at ingraining patriotism and enriching the field of visual arts with up-to-date contributions. 
The exhibition was associated with workshops conducted by Saudi Arabian female artists addressing several topics such as Realistic Drawing and Plastic Art Dialogues, where techniques of optical imaging were discussed along with exchanging each other’s experiences on methods of formation and technical treatments. A lecture titled ‘the Social role of cultural institutions in supporting plastic art talents) addressed the active role of public educational and cultural institutions in supporting plastic art talents.
 
On this occasion, Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari, vice-rector and director of  SRO, stated that the sponsorship of the university for such events is a clear evidence of MU rector’s concern to pay special attention to young people in various fields which complies with the tendency of the nation.
