Majmaah University Astronomical Observatory in Hawtat Sudair is one of the important astronomical observatories locally and regionally due its achievements in sighting the crescent, an act on the basis of which worship such as fasting and Hajj are linked. The observatory also monitors astronomical events and has scientific contributions including: conferences, courses, astronomical seminars, scientific publications, calendars, and scientific calculations of the lunar months. The Observatory undertakes administrative, technical, and field work using technology. It also has an electronic application that meets the needs of beneficiary in the field of astronomy.
