Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU rector, launched in his visit to the General Department of Services (GDS), a number of systems developed within the initiative ‘a university with no accident’.
The first system is ‘Rasid’, which is basically a real-time bus tracking system with various features. The second system is concerned with the early prediction of weather condition using sensors to send signals of warning during severe weather condition. The last system ‘Musta’ed’ or ready is simply a wire and wireless communication system between the weather department and deans of colleges that is aimed to optimize the colleges’ capacities in acting during emergencies such as partial or full cancellation of classes.
Dr. Al-Mugren extended his appreciation for the vice-rector’s follow-up of these departments which resulted in high quality outcomes. Thanks were also expressed to the director of GDS, Mr. Moteb Al-Maymouni and his team for their special efforts.
