An initiative was taken by the Islamic Studies Department & Admission and Registration Department to conduct a workshop at the College of Science & Humanities in Rumah about the academic advising.
In the workshop a number of issues were discussed including the future plans of the college pertinent to the field of academic advising, the distribution of tasks and powers of faculty members, reviewing the importance of academic advising for students & introducing the rules and regulations related Majmaah University.
This workshop is part of Ithrah Program which aims at diversifying the scientific & academic source of knowledge for faculty members. Such workshops will be conducted on weekly basis by faculty members based on the major. The workshops will be under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Bin Suleiman Al-Said, Head of Islamic Studies Department and executed by Mr. Ahmed Al-Saleem, Head of Admission & Registration.
It is worth noting that this workshop was held in respond to the dire need of activating the role of academic advising as a prerequisite for the fulfillment of the quality and academic accreditation pursuit by the college.
