MU RECTOR LAUNCHES A WORKSHOP FOR STUDYING THE UNIVERSITY CURRENT STATUS AND FUTURE DIRECTION

Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, Vice-Rector, has launched a workshop evaluating the current status of the university and its future direction from a mutual social vision.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Rukban, Head of the Strategic Planning Committee, talked about the philosophy of strategic planning at MU with a reference to the first and second strategic plans.
Highlighting the university vision and achievements, MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren said that the university has become one of the top-notch universities locally and regionally. This can be clearly seen from the partnerships and agreements with different sectors.
Dr. Al-Mugren concluded his remarks by extending his thanks and appreciations to representatives of government, private, charitable and community sectors who have attended the workshop.
Dr. Faisal Al-Mutairi talked about the university achievements of second strategic plan in education, scientific research and community service.
The firs theme of the workshop focused on assessing the current status via the performance of graduates, community partnership and scientific research.
The second theme addressed the future needs of local community to education, research, services and facilities.
The third theme highlighted the role of community towards the university in respect to these aspects.
A number of recommendations were made at the end of the workshop followed by taking memorial photos.
