MINISTER OF LABOR LAUNCHES BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

In conjunction with the Social Responsibility Forum held by the Ministry of Labor and as part of MU’s participation, the Minister of Labor Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajihi and his Deputy Dr. Tamader Al-Remah along with Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice-Rector, launched the blood donation campaign held by Blood Bank Club (BBC).
As the campaigned was launched, the minister and his deputy then was taken in a tour to see the bus of BBC where they briefed about the initiative and a report of the campaigns held over a year as well as an explanation of the work mechanism.
The idea of the initiative was admired by the minister who suggested that this idea should be widely benefited from all across the kingdom in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
The initiative of the Blood Bank Club Bus launched by the Social Responsibility Observatory is basically a medium-size bus remanufactured in a way to meet the requirements of blood donation campaigns. An application was developed for requesting blood donation campaigns. The initiative has won recently WSIS Prize held in Geneva, 2019.
