MU MEDICAL TEAM SUCCESSFULLY PERFORMS FIRST KIDNEY STONE FRAGMENTATION SURGERY USING FLEXIBLE LAPAROSCOPIC AND LASER

Within the framework of cooperation between Majmaah University (MU)and King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah, a medical team has successfully performed the first kidney stone fragmentation surgery using flexible laparoscopic and laser for a patient in the hospital.
The surgery is the first of its kind at King Khalid Hospital and was performed under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Al-Khamis, Assistant Professor at the Department of Kidney and urinary surgery.
MU and King Khalid Hospital have previously collaborated to perform several successful surgeries such as the treatment of migraine.
