The members of reading club have welcomed Dr. Hamd A. Al-Gumeizy, Dean of Student Affairs and His Deputy Dr. Khalid I. Al-Efeisan in the first introductory meeting held by the club. A brief overview about the club was presented by the head of the club, the student Ibraheem Al-Eydan . The presentation included the origination of the activities and programs provided by the club as well as the mechanism of reading. Six books were selected to be read during the first semester.
Dr. Al-Gumeizy gave a welcoming speech in where he mentioned his own experience with reading student activities. He offered a number of suggestions among which is the ways of providing books to those who are interested in reading as well as establishing many branches of reading clubs in the various colleges. He concluded his speech by advising all the members to make use of their academic tenure. Finally, memorial shots were taken with the dean and appreciations were extended to him for his presence.
