THIRD TECH CAMP PARTICIPANTS’ AWARD CEREMONY HELD BY MU

Under the patronage of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren and in the presence of vice-rectors, deans, managers and staff, the College of Computer Science and Information held an award ceremony for students who participated in the third tech camp held by the college.
The ceremony launched by a visual presentation highlighting the phases, objectives and results of the camp since the beginning to the end.
Addressing the audience, the Dean of Computer Science and Information, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shehri extended his thank to MU Rector for patronizing this camp and congratulated students this great achievement.
The college is very concerned to offer distinctive academic programs that meet the need of job market and keep abreast the rapid development in information and telecommunication technology, added Dr. Al-Shehri.
The idea of tech camps originated as a result of the Kingdom’s vision 2030 to encourage professional certificates in information technology. To that end, the third tech camp was held by the college under the supervision of four faculty members and the participation of 21 BA students and 9 MA. The camp which lasted for 14 days aimed to qualify students to obtain two internationally-recognized certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI).
MU Rector delivered a speech expressing his gratitude with this camp which bridge the gap between knowledge and theory and qualify students with the necessary skills to compete in job market.
At the end of the ceremony, MU Rector honored sponsors and supervisors of this camp and handed certificates of appreciation to students followed by taking memorial photos of students.
The third tech camp, organized by College of Computer Science and Information at MU, contributes in achieving the digital development initiative, approved by the Vision Realization Office 2030, which is a national project to qualify students to obtain professional certificates in information security and network.
