‘ELDERLY QUALITY OF LIFE’ INITIATIVE DISCUSSED BY MU AND NATIONAL GUARD HEALTH AFFAIRS

Within the framework of the university’s strategic plan to actively engage with community components to undertake developmental initiatives in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030, MU, represented by the Vice-Rector and Head of Social Responsibility Observatory, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, held a meeting with elderly quality of life initiative team, launched by the National Guard Health Affairs in coordination with the Women Committee for Social Community in Riyadh.
The meeting was convened in the presence of representatives from family affairs committee at Emirate of Riyadh Province, King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue, MU Rehabilitation and Prosthetic Center, Deanship of Community Service and e-Learning Deanship at MU.
At the beginning of the meeting, the PR showed a documentary film highlighting the university different activities and achievements.
Afterwards, the national guard health affairs team presented the initiative followed by a wide-ranging discussion about the initiative’s aspects and suggestions that help in implementing it. By the end of the discussion, the team recommended that a committee should be formed to propose a mechanism on how the initiative would be implemented.
Before leaving the university, the team met MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren and listened to his directives about the importance of having such initiatives.
Prof. Musallam said that this meeting was held at the request of MU Rector to open up the university services to all society components, commending the support of MU Rector and the cooperation of National Guard Health Affairs.
