FIRST MEETING OF ‘ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS’ INITIATIVE FOR STUDENTS WITH HANDICAPS HELD BY VICE-RECTOR’S OFFICE

Under the patronage of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren and the presence of the Vice-Rector for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Jawaher Al-Omar, the first meeting of ‘achieve your goals’ initiative for students with handicaps was held by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Female Student Affairs.
Ms. Ghadeer Al-Attya, Head of Handicapped Students, launched the meeting by highlighting the rights of handicapped at colleges and the wide-range of services provided by the university to them.
Handicapped students shared their experience and aspirations to fulfill their dreams. Ms. Naha Al-Sahli who has a visual impairment, narrated her personal anecdote on how she strove the obstacles to be successful.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-Omar, the Vice-Rector, said the university is very concerned to create a conducive educational environment for students with handicap, similar to that ones for other students.
