THE UNIVERSITY AWARDS THE GOLD MEDAL AT THE FORTY-SECOND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR INNOVATIONS AND INVENTIONS IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND

Within the various achievements of the university and its rich record in the field of inventions and receiving medals and advanced positions in a number of global forums , the university was able to add a new achievement by awarding a gold medal at the Forty-Second International Exhibition For Innovations And Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland, which was held during the period from 2 to 6 April, 2014 , corresponding to 2 to 6 Jumada II 1435 H , in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Switzerland his Excellency,  Mr. Hazem Kerktli , and a great selection of specialists. The invention  was about : "Technology Of Measurement Of Bilirubin In The Eye In A Non- Invasive Way" , where an accurate picture of the eye is being taken and then an  analysis of the yellow spectra concentration is being analyzed in the eye with some mathematical equations and software and compare it with the Bilirubin concentration in the blood that produced by red blood cells distraction , and then to be entered into a computer program that was developed at the university (BILICAPTIURE) to add data in a central database and extract the result of the comparison and determine the amount of Bilirubin. Therefore,  the accuracy of the results was up to 93% , and the participating team in Geneva Exhibition has been headed on behalf of the participants in the invention Dr. Omar Bin Mohammed Al Mutaihi, Dean of Information Technology, and membership of Dr. Raed Saleem Al Baradei, Vice Dean of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research , and Dr. Moattar Raza Rizvi. However, the team involved in this innovation consisted of a number of inventors from different Colleges and Deanships at the University of Majmaah, they are: Dr. Khaled Al Abdulwahab, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Omar Al Mutaihi, Dean of Information Technology , and Dr. Raed Saleem Al Baradei, Vice Dean of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, and Dr. Farah Al Askar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Education for Educational Affairs , and Dr. Moattar Raza Rizvi, and Mr. Azzouz Al Hosseni from the Unit of Software at the Deanship of Information Technology , and Mr. Ali Masoud from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences , and the student Hassan Abu Shlaih from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. Furthermore, in this regard the Chairman of the Team Dr . Omar Al Mutaihi expressed his thanks and appreciation to his Excellency the Rector of the University  , Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al Muqrin,  for his support, follow-up, and motivating the team to represent the University of Majmaah in this international exhibition , which resulted in this success. His Excellency the Rector of the University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al Muqrin, expressed his happiness of what has been achieved of such an achievement that is added to the successive achievements of the university- Thank Goodness. His Excellency the Rector has also added that these achievements have not been achieved without the grace of God Almighty firstly and lastly, then what the University does receive of unlimited support from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz - May God Protect Him - and what the University does have of supervision and guidance from his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and his deputy, who do exerted efforts to provide what the university does need in order to push the university for more progression. As well as the exerted efforts made by all the Deanships and Departments of the university , which were the main reason - After God Almighty – to reach the University of has been achieved of progress and success. Finally, his Excellency the Rector thanked  the team-based on this invention on its efforts and dedication at work , these efforts were fruitful and resulted in awarding the gold medal at the Forty-Second International Exhibition For Innovations And Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland, where his Excellency the Rector urged everyone to work harder and make more efforts and contribution in order to reach the desired goals and achieve more progress and success.
