MU LAUNCHES INITIATIVE ‘STAY HOME’ FOR ACCESSING OVER 800 MILLION ELECTRONIC RESOURCES

The Deanship of Library Affairs at MU launched an initiative entitled “Stay Home” for allowing the university staff to access the federated search portal (MuFind).
The portal motivates researchers to search and browse through all the library’s resources by accessing over 8 million electronic resources, including: e-Books, journals, audio books, dissertations and more.
Researchers of the local community are able now to get electronic resources at home using their computer or smartphone.
The federated search portal is the first of its kind among Saudi universities which enables users to access all catalogs and data sources from one persistent user interface.
The portal also has other features like accessibility to online social catalog, collaboration in content enrichment, empowering researcher with smart tools and supporting all types of searches.
