Under the patronage of the vice-dean of applied medical science college, Dr. Amal A. Al-Otaibi, the nursing department is celebrating the international nurses day for the year 2014 under the title “ nurse is a source of change and life”. The celebration implies the importance of this profession which aims at promoting awareness among students and their role in society against chronic diseases such diabetes and blood-pressure. It also intends to graduate well-qualified nurses who are able practice their role in society. A number of lectures were held on this occasion related to the profession of nursing and concluded by a video presentation about the role of the nurse in various fields.
