At the request of MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren to activate the role of Integrity Club in promoting awareness, the series of activities held by the Integrity Club came to an end on the International Anti-Corruption Day 2020. Six activities were organized over the past period as follow:
Integrity Club Exhibition: This was held at the foyer of College of Medicine and College of Applied Medical Science on Wednesday. The exhibition was launched by the vice-rector for educational affairs, Dr. Mohammed al-Obudi and features screens displaying the efforts of the club in promoting integrity and anti-corruption values; events of the past and coming academic year; and selected words for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown prince.
Educational Values’ Impact in promoting Integrity and Anti-Corruption Forum: This was held on Wednesday 24/4/1442 AH and addressed three topics: the role model’s impact in promoting integrity and anti-corruption which was presented by Dr. Nasser al-Othman, dean of College of Education in Zulfi, cooperation’s impact in promoting integrity and anti-corruption which was presented by Zafer al-Qarni, a faculty member, and responsibility’s impact in promoting integrity and anti-corruption which was presented by Dr. Dua’a al-Hazmi, vice-dean for student affairs.
Integrity in Student Life: This was held on Thursday and focused on two topics: Students’ role in promoting integrity value in their community which was presented by the student Abdullah al-Obaid, Integrity in academic life which was presented by the student Faris al-Ghatani.
The Role of Legal Department in promoting Integrity: This was held on Sunday and was presented by Dr. Musaed al-Jufan, a legal advisor at the General Administration for Legal Affairs and a faculty member in the Department of Contemporary Islamic Studies. The event was moderated by the vice-dean, Dr. Faris al-Faris.
Integrity in Employee Life: This was held on Monday and addressed two topics: Promoting Integrity via Job Works which was presented by Mr. Sami al-Mutairi, head of Training Department at the General Administration of Human Resources, and the Promotion of Integrity via Discipline which was presented by Mr. Ahmed al-Nuhait, manager of Job Performance Department.
Integrity in Faculty Member Life: This was held on Tuesday and addressed two topics: Promotion of Integrity via Academic Performance which was presented by Dr. Muqren al-Muqren, vice-dean for educational affairs, and Promotion of Integrity in Research which was presented by Dr. Huda al-Barrak, vice-dean for scientific research.
The dean of Student Affairs and chairman of Integrity Club Board, Dr Khalid al-Ofaisan, pointed out that the primary goal of these programs is promote the culture of integrity and anti-corruption to be a life behavior.
The events were all conducted amid precautionary measures and some were held remotely using the Blackboard platform with the assistance of both deanships: E-learning and Information Technology.
