Based on an invitation from the Secretariat of the States of Gulf Cooperation Council, His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren participated in the 20th meeting for heads and rectors of universities and higher education institutions in the States of Gulf Cooperation Council which was held in Kuwait state on Tuesday 20/12/1435 – 14/10/2014.
A number of issues were discussed during the meeting, most importantly the equity in admission at governmental higher education institutions for all citizens of the gulf countries, the paper presented by Qatar state on the solution of joint investment in education, the paper presented by Kuwait state on the proposal of establishing a union for gulf states universities, discussing the updates on the project of gulf states information database, excellence award of designing e-curriculums, the recommendations of the 1st conference for business administration colleges in the gulf states and the possibility of offering programs that will promote the education system at the higher education level in the gulf states. A number of recommendations were issued pertinent to the abovementioned topics which will contribute with substance and value to the development of higher education programs in the universities of the gulf states.
