University’s research team meets with community leaders and officials in four provinces


Upon directions from H.E. the University Rector, the research team assigned by His Excellency started the preparation of an urgent research about the university contributions in local development. The work started by holding open meetings with community leaders in each of Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghat, Rmah, and Hawtat Sudair Center. Meetings included officials in government offices, charity societies and Business men. This was done in collaboration with the university colleges in various governorates and centers within the university scope.

 

Dr. Mansour Al Dhwaihi, the leader of the research team managed the first meeting at Majmaah Province in the presence of Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Omran. The second meeting was managed by Dr. Nasser Al-Jarallah at Zulfi Province in the presence of the Dean of Faculty of Education at Zulfi Dr. Abdullah Al Suwaiket and His Excellency the Governor of Zulfi Mr. Zaid Bin Mohammed Al Hussein. The third meeting was managed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Luhaidan at Ghat in the presence of Dean of Faculty of Science and Humanities at Ghat Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Harra. The fourth meeting was managed by Dr. Khalid Al Shafi Department at Rmah Province in the presence of Dean of the Faculty of Science and Humanities at Rmah Dr. Saad Al Homoud. The fifth meeting was managed by Dr. Omar Al Shariofi at Hawtat Sudair Center in the presence of Dean of the Faculty of Science and Humanities at Hawtat Sudair Dr. Tarek Al Bahlal and president of Hawtat Sudair Center Mr. Fahad Bin Saleh Al Zekri .
These meetings were preceded by a meeting with security chiefs of the provinces during the signing of the agreement with the Public Security, where the meeting was the management of Dr. Mansour Al Dhwaihi in the presence of Dr. Omer Al Sharioufi.   

 

The meetings were opened by the research team members welcoming the participants amd an introduction about the tasks of the team which aimed to explore the views of the local community about the contribution of the university in local development (social, economic, cultural, in the field of manpower recruitment in health fields) in addition to identifying the main obstacles, proposals and visions in this regard.

 

The participants welcomed the establishment of such meetings and considered it as a blessed step that will have a positive impact – by God willing - towards exchanging views and make recommendations on the role of the university in local development and ways to develop this role for the benefit of all.
At the end, the members of the team thanked the participants for their interest and their active role in providing opinions and suggestions to the University in order to complete its mission to serve the community in accordance to the instructions of the wise leadership and the aspirations of the members of the community, calling on God to pay off the pace to reach the results that will be reflected positively on the society.
