His Excellency the Rector Dr. Khalid bin Sa’ad al-Mogren patronized activities and launching the developmental programs initiatives and engineering innovations exhibition in the college of Engineering in the presence of a number of deans of colleges and deanships, directorates of administrations and a number of guests. A speech ceremony was conducted commenced with reciting Qura’an followed by a speech for dean of engineering college Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah al-Turki who welcomed all audiences and extended his thanks to His Highness the Rector for his caring and follow up of college activities, developmental progress and needs. His Highness also highlighted in his speech the vision, message, goals, achievements and future plan of the engineering college as well as the tendency to achieve the quality standards which make the college a distinguished edifice to graduate students with high qualifications. After that, a detailed presentation was given about the developmental initiatives which was prepared by academic guidance unit in the college of Engineering including (interactive evaluation program), (distinguished points program), (non-paper committee board program),( making decision support database) and ( E-learning administration program). After that, His Highness extended his thanks and appreciations to the Custodian of Two Holly Mosques, King Abdullah bin AbdulAziz and His Highness Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for their caring and continues support for Higher Education Sector in general and Majmaah university in particular. His Highness also asserted that we live in a blessing of safety that deserved thanks and appreciations, then he pointed that we gather in a college that is distinguished with high standards, transparency and responsibility so are the rest of university units. All these achievements are due to Allah then to the loyal men of high great ambitions and inspirations. His Highness extended his appreciations to the dean of college and the working team for the professional approach of managing the college and all its departments. Then, His Highness the Rector and the dean of engineering college awarded students of distinguished engineering innovations in the faculty who got the admission to participate with their projects in the National Assembly for students’ projects that will be conducted in Alkubar between 9 to 12 / 6/1433 under the patronage of Ministry of Higher Education. After that, His Highness the Rector and, the Dean and a number of guests headed to the exhibition of engineering innovations where His Highness launched the exhibition and toured. The exhibition included the projects achieved by students of all departments in the college like electrical, mechanical, civil and computer engineering which represents the practical part of students’ curriculum and their in-depth comprehension to engineering applications which serve the society. Then, His Excellency listened to a detailed description from students about these innovations, their phases of design and their usage in all aspects of industry and engineering. Finally, His Excellency the Rector praised the students and their supervisors for their efforts in producing such kind of innovations which will have a positive impact on developing students skills in the theoretical and practical field.
