The University Rector, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Mugren participated in the global Islamic conference “Islam & Counter-Terrorism”, organized by Muslim World League in Mecca.
The conference was attended by 400 scholars and intellects from all over the Islamic world. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal launched the conference by reading a speech on behalf of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.
The university Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren stated that extremism was linked to “bad interpretations” of Islam and that “the only hope for the Muslim nation to recover unity is counter terrorism. Dr. Al-Mugren also called on scholars and intellects to play a major role in countering terrorist groups.
