SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE AGREES ON SCHOLARSHIPS PROMOTIONS AND EXTENSION

The Committee of Training and Scholarship continues its meetings to fulfil its broad vision of supporting scholarship students at Majmaah University. Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Shaye, vice-chancellor of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research chaired the 21st meeting of the academic year 1435-1436 H. He pointed up that several topics related to scholarship, promotion and scholarship extension for some university employees have been discussed.

 

The University Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin approved the minutes of the session that recommended the promotion of the following:

  1. Doctoral scholarship of Ahmad Abdul Lateef Al-Zamami to do his Ph.D. in sampling and system analysis at the University of Virginia in the U.S.
  2. Master’s scholarship of Ahmad Thahir Al-Enezi to do a master’s degree in solid-state physics at the University of Idaho in the U.S.
  3. Master’s scholarship of Afnan Abdurrahman Al-Tawalah to do her master’s degree in chemistry at the University of Nottingham in the U.K.
  4. Doctoral scholarship of Abdurrahman Abdullah Al-Mutairi to do his Ph.D. in nursing (general health) in Sydney, Australia.
  5. Doctoral scholarship of Bader Mitieb Al-Selmi to do a Ph.D. in special education in Kentucky University in the U.S.

 

Extension of scholarships was approved to:

  1. Sultan Hozayfa Al-Tawala
  2. Hanan Muneer Al-Mutairi
  3. Shadi Abdullah Al-Shwayer
  4. Sultana Saud Al-Musnad
  5. Taghreed Hamdi Humud Al-Hadbani

 

 

 

 

Approval of the Program of Studying English Abroad was granted to:

  1. University Lecturer Faisel Hakim Al-Shamari to study English in the Queens land University in Australia
  2. University Lecturer Salim Ahmad Al-Ghamdi to study English in Kaplan Institute in the U.S.

 

The committee has also approved the change of universities to:

  1. Yahia Awaji Madkhali from Edinburgh University to Nottingham University.
  2. Nesreen Naeem Abo Shlih from Manchester University to Heriot Watt University in the U.K.
