THE UNIVERSITY SIGNED COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH WESTERN STUDIES INSTITUTE IN US

With the presence of His Highness, Deputy of Minister of Higher Education Prof. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Seif, and during the 3rd International Exhibition on Higher Education held in Riyadh, a memo was signed between Al-Majma’ah University, represented by Prince Salman Institute Board for Studies and Consulting Services, and Western Studies Institute in US. The agreement incorporates a number of areas like: allowing faculty members of Mjama’ah University to participate in the workshops and conferences held by the Western Studies Institute in the American Saudi Center for Educational Dialogue in George Washington University and helping faculty members of Majma’ah University to benefit from the scholarships provided by American Universities via this institute such as Temple University in Pennsylvania and Ohio University in Ohio.  Al-Mjama’ah University will encourage its staffs to publish in the issues of that institute like Western Studies Journal and Western Studies Association. There is an effort made by the institute to enable Mjama’ah University faculty members to gain experience from specialists of American Universities in the field of teaching. After the agreement was signed which was attended by a number of officials from Higher Education Ministry and a number of Saudi and International University Rectors, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Sa’ad Al-Mogren stated that signing such kind of agreement is a major sign for progress made by the university in terms of gaining experiences from international universities and centers. He also added that this agreement will have positive impact on the university in the future, as this international center is a renowned one with well-known history. The purpose of the agreement is to gain scientific experience from American Universities and to create scholarly chance for faculty members.
