The Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya’a patronized the ceremony of signing research projects’ contracts for the academic year 1435/1436.
The Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi expressed his thanks to the vice-rector for his ongoing support for research projects as well as paving the way for future development. With respect the budget of the research projects, Dr. Al-Harbi mentioned that it was significantly increased which contributed in achieving several goals. On top of that, publishing in journals of well reputation such as ISI and Scopus has also increased. As for the mechanism of receiving the research proposals, a system was developed titled (Research) through which all research projects are reviewed based on unified criteria. Dr. Al-Harbi said that more than 196 research proposals were received from various colleges, and around 78 was funded with a total amount that exceeds 2 million.
