A MEETING IS HELD FOR PREPARATORY YEAR FEMALE STUDENTS

The College of Applied Medical Sciences held a meeting for the Preparatory Year female students who are qualified for joining the following departments: nursing, physical therapy, laboratories, and radiology. This meeting aimed to raise the students’ awareness of the labor market needs. At the beginning, a brief presentation was made about the College of Applied Medical Sciences, its establishment, and its departments. Moreover, the entry requirements to each of the College’s departments were mentioned: 1) The student must pass all required subjects in the Preparatory Year; 2) a student’s GPA must be at least (3); 3) admission to a certain major depends wholly on a student's GPA; 4) the availability of a major is decided by the College’s departments councils Then, a detailed presentation was given on each department, including each department’s aims, study plan, credit hours and training hours, and the labor market needs for that department’s major. At the end of the meeting, all the students’ inquiries were answered and further later questions were welcome.
