With the presence of His Excellency the Dean of Education College in Zulfi, Dr. Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Suwaiket , the Student Affairs being represented by the unity of Student Activities at Faculty of Education in Zulfi organized a reception ceremony for fresh students for the academic year 1433 -1434 H in the complex auditorium with the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs Mr. Jaber bin Dwaihi Al-Faham, Head of Islamic Studies Department Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Alolaiwi, Head of Arabic Language Department Dr. Fahad Bin Saleh Al-Melhem, Head of English Language Department Mr. Ayoub bin Abdulkareem Al-Muslim, faculty members, Head of Student Affairs Mr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Mansour and Secretary of Student Activities Unit Mr. Abdulmohsen Suleiman Aledeib. All this comes out of the concern of the college about its students to meet their needs and to introduce them to educational environment of the University as well as introducing students to the rules and regulations and the services provided by the department. The ceremony was launched with a speech by the Head of Student Affairs where he welcomed the Dean of the College, the Deputy Dean, Heads of Department, faculty members, and fresh students then he informed them about the purpose of this meeting. After that, the ceremony was initiated by a beautiful recitation for the Holy Quran by Abdullah Al-Juda'ay for the English Department Ceremony while the student Mua'az Al-Daweesh recited for the ceremony of the Islamic Studies Department. After that, a speech was delivered by the College Dean where he welcomed heads of departments, faculty members and students and encouraged them to continue working hard and to exploit the opportunity of their admission at the college. He also mentioned that all students and faculty members are most welcomed to visit his office at any time or to communicate with him through the various means of communication including mobile, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. Then, a speech was delivered by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Mr.Al-Fahham where he mentioned about the curriculum, major courses and elective courses curriculum followed by a speech for the Head of Islamic Studies Department in which he welcomed faculty members and fresh students and explained about the department. The Head of English Department also welcomed the audience and briefed them about the majors of the Department such as literature and translation and spoke about the conversation and listening skills as well as principles of translation. He also emphasized on attendance. He concluded his speech by talking about the importance of the English language. After that, student activities unit distributed survey and registration form in student activities to students. At the end, the ceremony was concluded having breakfast and chatting in a friendly atmosphere.
