His Excellency the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al-Shaya’a launched “the introductory day for preparatory year students at engineering college. This day aims at helping preparatory year students to discover their interests with regard to the academic majors provided by the engineering college. The Introductory day included several activities including introducing students to scientific majors via the departments’ representatives and a presentation of the most important applied projects which were achieved by students. The day also included a presentation of the college and its achievements. A visit was made by students to the engineering college’s labs where they listened to specialists about the importance of these labs to the college students. The Vice-Rector for academic affairs was briefed about this day and its importance where he praised the projects with regard to engineering and its significance in honing students’ skills as well as its positive impacts on the readiness of engineering students. The college dean, Dr. Mohammad Al-Salamah stated that the launch of the introductory day by His Excellency the Vice-Rector for academic affairs shows the significance of such activities for the academic performance of students.
