The Deanship of Student Affairs organized a meeting for the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren with the freshmen students at the university auditorium in the main campus. The meeting which was presented by the student Ibrahim Nasser Al-Yousef and Saeed Al-Zahrani was initiated by a recitation for the Holy Quran by the student Ibrahim Al-Eidan followed by a speech for His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Aalghemaza where he welcomed His Highness the Rector and Deputies. He stated that the university is interested in developing activities and programs inside and outside the university to achieve the goals intended by the Deanship of Student Affairs including the contribution to the preparation of students and develop their skills. After that, His Highness the Rector delivered a speech in which he thanked God and then extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, on the great potential in all aspects of life, particularly higher education. His Highness noted that the students have rights and duties. One of the most important rights of students is to create the infrastructure for environment education, which was completed recently as well as providing them with qualified scientific faculty members. He also referred to the monthly rewards received by students should be on time which is among the responsibilities of the university administration. He also advised students to adhere to the values and religious moral conducts in line with the approach of the Prophet peace be upon him. He also called upon all students to maintain the University property and to benefit as much as possible from the facility provided everywhere. He recommended the students to pursue their education and to dedicate their efforts in studying and choosing the good companion. His Highness concluded his speech by stressing that communication between him and students is continuous and should not end by the end of this event. He mentioned that his door is opened for all at any time as well as all university officials. This is likely to build up a partnership between officials and students which will consequently help in solving students' problems. The meeting was concluded by receiving students’ inquiries through social networking and direct questions which were all answered by His Highness. Finally, the former Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Faisal Abdullah Al-Hamoud was rewarded in glorious scene.
