The University achieved the 1st & 3rd position in the competition of web-developer and Cellphone held in Riyadh last Thursday. The two programmers Mr.Daifallah Al-Azmi and Azzoz Al-Hasani from the Deanship of IT at Majmaah University. The competition started Thursday morning and lasted for 12 hours. More than 100 candidates from various nationalities participated in the competition. Fifty five were able to successfully pass to the next stage. After the second stage, 25 candidates remained to the fourth stage where the last was as there were 12 candidates. All candidates agreed that the 3rd stage was so difficult. Mr.Daifallah Al-Azmi achieved the first position that amazed the committee with his outstanding ability in writing programing codes as he was the only one who answered the extra question. Mr. Azzoz Al-Hasani achieved the 3rd position. This stage in Riyadh was the 3rd as the first one was in Lebanon and the 2nd was in Jordan. 2 more stages remained; the fourth stage will be on 15 Dec. in Cairo while the fifth one will be in Dubai on 19 Feb. Dr. Omar Al-Mutaihi congratulated the two candidates their victory and mentioned that such victory is a proud for the Deanship of IT. Such success all attributed to His Highness the Rector’s directives to always select the best to be supported.
