THE UNIVERSITY HOLDS THE 10TH SEMINAR OF E-LEARNING FOR SAUDI UNIVERSITIES

 

The University held the 10th Seminar for Saudi Universities under the title “E-Learning in Newly Established Universities- Issues and Aspirations”. The seminar was initiated by a speech for His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren where extended his thanks to Allah for his blessing. He also extended his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince as well as the Minister of Higher Education for their constant support. His Highness stated that the University’s goals and success won’t be attained without a partnership with other sectors which the University is embarking on in the current situation. His Highness also stated that the university since its establishment 3 years ago was to establish the supported deanships, among which the deanship of e-learning and distance education run by Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari who is hard working and has commitment at work. His Highness also stressed that success and achievement can only be attained via hard working men who are sincere to their work. It is worthy to mention that all classrooms and labs in all colleges are smart classes and this is only regarded as the first step and we are in favor of further success. His Highness concluded his speech by thanking participants and attendance on top of which is the Department of Public Relations and University Media managed by Dr. Nasser Al-Yousif who always show commitment and impress us with their outstanding preparation and organizing such events. The Seminar was initiated by documentary file about the deanship of e-learning and distance education and its achievement over the last three years followed by a speech for the dean of e-learning and distance education Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari who reviewed the upcoming issues of the seminar and praised the unlimited support by His Highness the Rector at all levels. The seminar included 4 workshops at the first day. Addressing the audience, the head of e-learning national center Dr. Abdullah Al-Mogren delivered a speech where he mentioned that e-learning is one important way of learning which has received the concern of this country and as a result, the Ministry of Higher Education adopted this technology to advance the education. At the end, all participants were awarded with memorial shield on the occasion of this event.
