On behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, chairman of the University’s board, His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren chaired the 2nd meeting of the University board for the academic year 1433-1434 in the conference hall of the Rector’s office, with the presence of the general secretary Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the University vice-president and deans of colleges and supported deanships. The vice-president for postgraduate studies and academic research and the general secretary of the council Dr. Mohsen Bin Abdelrahman Al-Mohsen stated that the Rector inaugurated the session by welcoming all presence and congratulated the achievements of the university including the organization of the 1st international conference for newly established universities and hosting a number of events and forums. He also emphasized the importance on keeping up the same level of success and doubling the efforts to optimize the available resources provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. After that, a number of academic and administrative issues were discussed including: the endorsement the project of consulting firms in the university to contribute in exchanging academic and administrative experience with the private and government sectors. The council also approved the plan of training the staff of the University by the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development for the current year. The council also reviewed the project of Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdelmohsin Al-Twayjiri for applied research of stroke cases and approved the project. The University board extended their thanks and appreciation to the sheikh for his support. Dr. Almohsin stated that the University Deputyship for Postgraduate Studies and Academic Research has finalized the procedures of four academic chairs in several fields.
