UNIVERSITY SCOUT TEAM SPREADS THE CULTURE OF DIALOGUE THROUGHOUT PARTICIPATION IN WORKSHOPS

Almajmaah University, represented by Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the workshop organized by King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue in Holiday Inn Hotel, Riyadh. The workshop lasted for for four days. The delegation of International Scouting Organization, composed of more than thirty scouts from Singapore and from Saudi Scout Society, participated in this workshop. In fact, throughout the workshop few scouts have been trained to be accredited trainers in spreading dialogue culture. Deanship has nominated two of the Saudi Scout Society: Abdullah Yaseen Altayyar from Faculty of Engineering and Adbullah Alabdulmonem from Faculty of Sciences to be qualified as accredited trainers. The program explained several advanced training criteria pertaining to accredited trainer preparation and all aspects in the training package (Communication skills development in dialogue). In addition, some training sessions, seminars as well as applications of the training package and skills were conducted. Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alqumeizi mentioned that the university scout team participation in such programs is an extension to what the University Rector Dr. Khaled Saad Almuqrin stresses on. Such participations will result in improving university female and male students in very crucial scientific skills.
