The Department of Public Relations and University Media held an awarding ceremony with the attendance of His Highness the Rector, vice-rectors, deans of colleges and deanships, heads of departments and a number of the university staff to the leaders of the university whose tenure is completed. The ceremony begun with a documentary film about some of the awardee’s contribution to the university followed by a speech delivered by the former vice-rector Dr. Ibraheem Al-Hugail where he stated that he was always benefiting from the university via attending meetings which were regarded as workshops to him. He extended his thanks to the Rector and the deans of colleges and deanships as well as all the university staff for their cooperation which resulted in positive outcomes. Addressing the audience, the Rector delivered a speech where he extended his thanks to the awardees for their efforts and contacts will remain with them. Memorial shields were presented to the following awardees: Dr. Ibraheem Al-Hugail, former vice-rector, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sa’adoon, former dean of Science College and humanitarian studies in Ghat, Dr. Fahad Al-Turki, former dean of engineering college, Dr. Mansour Al-Mansour, former dean of science college and supervisor of dentistry college, Dr.Mansour Al-Duweihi, former dean of business administration college, dr. Ibraheem Alehydan, former dean of academic research, Dr. Ibraheem Al-Salamah, former dean of postgraduate studies, Mr. Naser Al-Dahmash, former supervisor general administration for administrative and financial affairs and technical affairs and projects. The ceremony was concluded with a lunch.
