Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqrin, launched the Future Researcher Initiative provided by the Deanery of Community Service and Continuing Education in collaboration with the Deanship of Academic Research and in partnership with the Department of Education in Majmaah Province.
The initiative is part of the University efforts of community service and activation of quality partnerships with the public and private institutions attempting to meet the aspirations of community members.
The aim of such a program is to prepare potential researchers of gifted students studying at public schools for academic research and assign them later after training to selected faculty members on campus to oversee the development of their research projects and help them publish their research studies in well-recognized journals and then participate with their research publications in national and international institutions.
Dr. Omar al-Shariufi- Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, stated that the initiative is part of the national plan for expanding such programs over 7 universities around the Kingdom per directions from the Ministry of Education.
Along with college deans and department heads, a delegation from the Ministry attended the celebration of the program, where Dr. Shariufi talked about the implementation stages of the program as well as the University aspirations in that regard.
Then, Dr. Thamir al-Harbi-Dean of Academic Research, elaborated on the efforts of his Deanery throughout the program stages.
One of the students delivered a speech about their aspirations of such initiative afterwards.
Additionally, Mr. Saud Hazani, Director of Quality Initiatives Center, expressed his appreciation to the University for holding such programs that provide an invaluable service to the community.
Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqrin, commended the efforts of the participants in the initiative and asked for submitting reports concerning the progress of the program stages regularly.
At the end of the event, the members of the Founding Committee of the Initiative were awarded medals for their efforts.
