MAJMAAH UNIVERSITY RECTOR VISITS TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

 

 

 MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, visited the Deanship of Information Technology accompanied by the Vice-Rector Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.

The visitors were received by the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanein who briefed them on the achievements of the Deanship, the portal, the intranet project of the University and the fifth plan of the e-portal, as well as the translation system and its direct connection with the e-portal.

The Rector also checked  the data center, launched by Oracle Exadata, which is considered the most comprehensive engineering platform, delivering maximum performance for data storage, online transaction processing and data encryption.

In addition, the achievements of the Technical Support team in the past academic year were presented.

The Dean of Information Technology then showed the Rector the accomplishments of information security, including the ISO 27001 standard Certificate.

The Rector also reviewed the important electronic services under the Operating System Unit, as well as the achievements of networks, including the expansion of data center, and the upgrade of the latest network systems.

In addition to the vision of the Deanship, the achievements of e-services and the future projects in this field were explained, including the implementation of My Services App, which provides the University staff with the ability to complete all tasks and applications using only one App.

The Rector expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the Deanship and its plans that reflect the dedication of its staff.

For his part, the Dean of Information Technology expressed his pleasure with the visit, considering it as “an extension of the support and leadership, which have had the most impact on the achievements.”
